I sigh as Micah asks if he can sit with us. He's one I'm more likely toy trust.
"Sure. Why not?" I shrug.
He sits down and asks, "Where do you girls come from?"
I quickly answer, "England."
Scarlett smiles, "Yes. It's different in Australia, but we should get used to it soon."
I smile, "Maybe you can help us, Micah. This is their first day of school. Could you help me in showing them how things work around here?"
I try not to gulp. Micah will be helping Amber show us around.
Before Micah can answer, someone yells, "AMBER!"
I look up to see an adult woman walking over.
"You've done it this time!" She yells.
I notice a few girls smirking the way one would after they got someone else in trouble for something they did.
Amber groans, "What did I do this time? Not tie my shoes? Jokes on you, my shoes don't have shoelaces to tie."
The woman growls, "You superglued all my stuff to my desk!"
Amber looks confused, "I am sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."
The woman slaps Amber. I suddenly get up.
"Why did you do that? Amber just said she has no idea what you are talking about! Why did you slap her?" I order.
I feel Jessamine- no, Jasmine's hands gripping my arm.
The woman suddenly yells at me, "Who are you to disrespect a teacher?! I have the authority over you!"
I really want to use my Princess Authority, but it's useless here.
"I am Scarlett Thompson, Amber's cousin. When would she have superglued your things to your desk? We have an alibi for her today and last night. How do you know it's her?" I challenge.
She answers, "It's always Amber! Always!"
I ask, "How do you know? Who's to say the witnesses didn't lie?"
The woman stares at me in shock, surprised that I didn't flip. She suddenly leaves.
"Why did you do that?" Amber asks.
I sit down, Jasmine's fingernails digging into my arm.
"I couldn't just sit there. Someone had to do something." I answer while trying to pry off Jasmine's fingers.
I ask, "Why did she say it was you?"
Amber answers, "Those girls there."
She points to the girls I saw smirking earlier.
"They used to be my friends. Then I found out they were using me. I broke off our friendship, so they took revenge on me by doing horrible things and blaming me." She frowns.
I look at Maya and Elia. They look just as shocked as I am.
