Tyrannosaurus Rex. The tyrant lizard king or king of the tyrant lizards. Both tyranno (tyrant) and saurus (lizard) come from Greek while Rex (king) comes from Latin.
Based on this, has anyone ever wondered if back when speaking Latin was a thing, did people call their kings rex? Think about it. How awesome does that sound?
For example, I have a goldfish named King Damien Arkose Rodanim II who I frequently call King in everyday life. In Latin however, he'd be called Rex Damien Arkose Rodanim II or simply Rex. Personally I think I'd be awesome to have Rex as a title as it sounds extremely epic.
