Great POV, Bianca!
The guys didn't get growing feet. Maybe it has something to do with being angry?
I frown, "Oh. Okay..."
I've been called to Principle Jones office. If only he was a bit more smart. I wait outside next to John.
"We have a no fighting policy at this school! Zero tolerance. You fight, your suspended. You're suspended! You hear me! Suspended!"
I turn to John and mime with a silly face what Jones said.
John giggles, "You're pretty funny."
The door opens and Chloe comes out of the office and threatens, "You'd better watch your back, snitch."
I don't take too kindly to threats, but this feels different.
I smile at John and walk into the office. Jones holds up my backpack.
"I believe this belongs to you? Name-tag was on the inside."
I sigh, "Oh thank you sir!"
He then tells me, "Don't be throwing it into any more basketball hoops."
I ask in disbelief, "Why would I throw my own bag into a basketball hoop?"
Jones replies, "Who knows why you kinds do anything?"
I raise my eyebrow in disbelief. He is such an idiot!
He continues, "Amber you are what we call normally challenged and have mid-level acquaintance deficiency."
No such thing.
He yells to his secretery, "Do they make a pill for that?"
She replies, "No, sir."
He sighs, "Apparantly, there is nothing we can do for you. This acting out has got to stop."
He's such a stupid principal.
He continues, "We have a no fighting policy at this school. Zero tolerance. You fight, you're suspended."
I ask, "Getting beat up counts as fighting?"
He states, "A fist can't punch without a face to receive it. No fighting means no fighting."
I am telling mum and grandma about this. They'll take it up with the school board.
I walk out and Jones says, "And, Amber."
I ask, "Yes... Sir?"
He says, "We have zero tolerance on hats. No hats in school."
These rules are ridiculous!
I take off my hat and he says, "And, get a haircut."
I feel my head. My hair. It's grown again!
I run out of school and put my hat back on.
"Hey, Harrison! You got me suspended!"
Chloe and her goons.
I retort, "You should be happy. You hate school!"
Chloe exclaims, "My Mum's gonna kill me!"
I get surrounded and I say "You heard Principal Jones. He said no fighting."
Livia smirks, "No fighting on school property!"
They then push me and Chloe takes my hat and the goons hold me.
Chloe puts on the hat and says, "How do I look?" doing a stupid face.
"You look like Stupid Amber!"
Chloe exclaims, "This hat sucks!"
She goes to tear it and I yell, "Stop!"
I hit the goon in the stomach and grab my hat off her and run. I see that Collin's also being chased by goons too. I go to the park and run, weaving in and out of everywhere! Then I'm at the skate park part and they are still chasing me. I get cornered in a tunnel.
I gasp, "Okay, girls. You've had your fun."
Livia smirks, "Dontcha know how this works?"
I hear Chloe behind me say, "We got her, girls."
"This is the fun part!"
The goons grab me and I yell, "Get off me!"
Chloe grabs my feet that I'm trying to kick her with when suddenly they shake strangly, kick her in the face, I hit the other's faces, do a flip, then land on my feet.
I exclaim, "Shiitake Mushrooms! This day is just getting weirder!"
Then my feet expand. Just like yesterday. I run home, but instead of going through the front door, I run around the block a few times and then hop over peoples backyard fences and go into my home through the back door. I notice a rock just smash the window next to the door, and Collin's there. He sighs then looks at a floor grill.
I go over to him and say, "Look at my feet."
He looks and stares at my feet. then after a while of staring, they fall back into my shoes. He pulls the floor grill away and we both see a box.
I reach in and groan, "Almost, Almost!"
I grab the thing down there pull it up. We look through the box which has letters and an address. Rad comes home and I throw him a letter from 1 month ago. He reads it and his eyes open in shock. They are from our dad and Grandpa.
*after a lot of letter reading*
Mum and grandma come home carrying groceries.
Rad asks, "Were you ever gonna tell us?"
Mum gasps, "Kids you- startled us."
She looks and sees our hair.
My eye twitches and I exclaim, "You said Dad and Grampa were dead!"
Grandma says, "Kids-"
Collin asks, "If they're dead, why are they writing letters to you? This one is from a week ago! "Dear Shelly, I'm sorry to hear Amber's having a hard time at school." Really?!"
Mum says, "It's not what you think-"
I yell, "You didn't think we'd want to meet them?! You thought you could keep them to yourselves?!"
Grandma sighs, "Amber, Rad, Collin, your dad and Grampa are alive. That's all we can tell you."
Even Rad, the quiet one yells, "Are you kidding me?"
Mum says, "I know, it's hard. But you've gotta trust us."
I've had enough.
"Trust you!?! You're a liar! You've been lying to us every day of our whole lives!
We all walk upstairs, and both Grandma and Mum call after us, "Kids! Please!"
I turn to them and sniff, "I thought you were the 2 people we could trust. But you're just like everybody else... I hate you."
Mum exclaims, "Amber, wait, please!"
I hop on my bed and cry. The boys sniff too.
I grab the address from my pocket and read it, "216 Clearcut Rd route 99."
The boys look at me, and I know, we all have the same, crazy idea.
