We catch up to Mal.
Josh says, "Just ignore her."
Mal asks, "Ignore what? The fact that she's right? I am a loser. I have no family, no friends, and no guy is ever going to ask me to that lame dance that I don't even care about. And don't think about asking me because I know it'll just be out of pity which I don't need."
"You aren't a loser"Josh says, "And we are your friends and your family."
Mal replies"I barely know you."
"It would help if you let us in and trusted us with your secrets which is what friends do." He adds.
"I'm an open book" Mal replies.
Somehow, I think that's a lie.
"Something tells me that's not 100% true" Josh replies.
"Well somethings are meant to stay secrets." Mal says.
She starts to walk off. I can't let my friend walk away like this.
I say, "I don't have a date either! But I do know one thing. You know something we don't. And I know something you don't want anyone to know."
Everyone looks at me wierdly. I hate it when I get socially awkward, but this has to be said.
"I know who your father is, and who he really is."
Mal stops and everyone else raises their eyebrows.
I sigh, "I got some DNA off someone when he saved me once in a burning building.. It was a hair sticking out of his mask. It was too tempting. I did a DNA test, and promised myself I'd keep it secret, and I then bumped into your father once, and grabbed a hair off his shirt, which was definitely his. It was positive. I found out who your father is. I promised I wouldn't tell anyone, but you are the exception."
Is this good, wierd, or just plain wrong?
