I came home one night after a festival. too bad there was a creep. I did some pretty good Kung Fu against him, and escaped. no guy can beat me when it comes to fighting. I came home and found a letter on my bed. I opened it and read it.
"Dear Miss Dubois,
We'd like to inform you that you have been accepted into the Manhattan School for the Performing Arts. You have incredible talent and would like you to study with us.You have a bright future ahead of you and we hope to see you on Sept. 1st when the term begins. The school will be performing four plays within the year and a showcase where casting directors will be scouting for talent for their play on Broadway.
Headmistress Abigail Hartley"
What? I looked over the letter again. I smirked, "I can't believe it. I am gonna be an actor. I'd better not sing 'Awesome as I wanna be' when I'm there. The kids might hate me."
I auditioned as three months ago as so many characters. I thought I did well. I really get into my characters, and I forget I'm not really my character. My favourite part was when a kid was being Kristoff and I was being Anna in the audition. I actually hit him. I was a little too fast. My acting anger took control and that happened. I apologized countless times during that part. I tried something I didn't know so well. I went awfully in other ones. I haven't seen Decendants, The Greatest Showman, or Legally Blonde. I thought that I only did well when auditioning for Frozen, Because I have only seen that. If there was Mighty Med, or Lab rats, I would've been great! Or even Tangled! But I only went well with Frozen because it was the only one I knew. If there was Romeo and Juliet, I would've tried that too. At least I got there!
The next day I was at the school. Dad took pictures at me, so I did a few funny faces here and there. I head to the receptionist.
"Name," she plainly said. I almost said, "Lara Croft," but something told me not to make her mad.
"Amber Dubois." holding my papers out. She handed me a key with a tag saying "2".
"Dorms are to the left."
I didn't like her voice. It was just creepy. I decided not to think about it.
I called, "Bye family!"
They decided to be Oakens family and say, "Hoohoo! Bye Amber!"
A few people snicker while I make my way to my dorm.
I try rehearsing how to say "Hi" to my dorm mate.
"'Hello! I'm your dorm mate.' Nah, that sounds too forced. 'Hi! I'm Amber! Your dorm mate.' Nah. Just let it happen."
I open the door and walk in. I see a girl with brown hair and blue eyes.
I exclaim, "Hello! I'm Amber. This is dorm 2, right?"
The girl tells me, "Yep. I'm Bianca."
I smile, "I'm sure we're gonna be great chums!"
I see Bianca raise her eyebrow.
I facepalm and sigh, "Right, not Australia anymore. Sorry. The translation is, 'I'm sure we're gonna be great friends!'. Sorry"
We stare at each other and laugh.
Then another girl asks, "Am I in the right dorm?"
I smile, "Is your dorm number 2? If it is, Welcome!"
She introduces herself, "I'm Melody."
I introduce myself aswell, "I'm Amber!"
Bianca introduces herself, "I'm Bianca."
I think, "We're gonna have so much fun!"
What do you think?
