I love Imagine Dragons, but they aren't my FAVORITE. I'm definitely a hipster and I listen to music that's not-at-all well-known.
-Bars and Melody (They just released a new album called Generation Z and it is AMAZING. They were in the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent. Favorites are "Fast Car", "Scream", and "Allergic to the Sun".)
-James the Mormon (A clean rapper. Favorites are "I Will Never Stop", and "Tellin You Y".)
-Alec Benjamin (Only has three singles on Spotify but I LOVE him. Favorite is "I Built a Friend".)
-Chase Goehring (Made it to the finals of America's Got Talent, has an EP and two singles on Spotify, but lots more on Youtube. He's perfect. Favorites are "A Capella", "Jaded", and "Hurt".)
-Grace VanderWaal (Won last season of America's Got Talent. Recently released three new singles that are all amazing. Favorites are "Clay", "Moonlight", and "So Much More Than This".)
-Owl City (More popular than most of these, but still pretty small. He's known for "Fireflies" and "Good Time", but he has more incredible albums and singles and EPs that people forget. Favorites are "Plant Life", "Sunburn", "Not All Heroes Wear Capes", "Unbelievable", "Tidal Wave" and MAAAANY more.)
-Ben Rector (His songs are so heartfelt and real. He is absolutely fantastic. Favorites are "Crazy", "The Men that Drive Me Places", "Like the World is Going to End", and "Note to Self".)
-The Arcadian Wild (Two boys and a girl who play a very wide variety of instruments and met in a college choir class in Nashville, TN. They are my favorite folk artist of all time. Their songs are focused on appealing to the soul and heart. It's about the lyrics, not just the beat. Favorites are "Blue-Eyed Girl", "The Storm", "Leila", "Man in Room 39", "Roots", and ALL OF THEM. I can't choose.)
-Captain Dipper and the Strawberry Girl (A couple whose name is a reference to chocolate-covered strawberries and if that ain't adorable, I dunno what is. Favorites are "War Against Ourselves", "Black Forest Wedding", "Porcelian Skin".)
-Cody Simpson (Originally a stereotypical surfer/pop-singer, he has completely changed his style and has a strong beach hippie vibe in his music. He's also Australian.
-The Gray Havens (A couple who began in 2013 and have combined folk with a more Christian feel. Favorites are "This my Soul" and "At Last, the King".)
-Ben Howard (Popular in the world of folk. Born in England and very popular with the surfing community. Favorites are "Old Pine", and "The Wolves")
-The Hunts (A seven-piece family band of all ages consisting of banjo, fiddle, guitar, ukulele, and other folk instruments. Favorites are "Valentina", "Just for a While", and "This is Love".)
Seriously if you guys are ever in need of new music, I gotchu.
