Hi, guys! *waves* So, I had an idea (great ideas come at midnight. don't judge.) that I wanted to write a little book with 365 quotes, one for each day of the year. However, I can't do it on my own. :) I need YOUR help on finding quotes. Find little sayings or precepts that inspire you, give you hope, give you peace, have deep meaning, make you think, interest you, ANYTHING. You can post movie quotes, song lyrics, scripture verses, book quotes, lines of poetry, riddles, jokes, etc. They can even be ones you made up! :D
The only rules are:
- PLEASE keep it appropriate
- PLEASE keep it on topic
- PLEASE keep it clean (no swearing, no immoral hidden meanings, etc.)
- NO quotes discouraging hope, happiness, love, etc. (I may make an exception, but no promises.)
Knowing you guys, I know you'll find some FANTASTIC stuff! This thread closes DECEMBER 31. Starting January 1, 2017, I will post the book, a new quote every day. :D Have fun! I BELIEVE IN YOU!
Some inspiration to help you get started:
Famous - "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." -Winston Churchill
Movie - "If your eyes could speak, what would they say?" -Max Vandenburg, The Book Thief
Book - "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." -Albus Dumbledore, The Sorcerer's Stone (J.K. Rowling)
Song - "Dear God, you're the only North Star I would follow this far." -Owl City, "Galaxies"
Personal - "Optimism is not the cause of failure; the cause of failure is refusing to try." -Phoenix
When posting a quote, please include who/what said it and what it is from. For book, include character, title, and author. For movie, include character and title. For famous, include speaker. For song, include singer and title (album is not needed). For personal, include the name you want in the book. If you have no clue, put unknown, but PLEASE try to find a source.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! You're the best!
Please tell us why you'd like to report this post
