Every time I come on here I find people who are struggling. People who are asking questions about who they really are and what they're supposed to do.
I come on here and I find others who share my problems, my dreams, and my opinions.
I find people who just want to be loved, but aren't.
And it breaks my heart.
I listen to your sobs, your pleas, your unanswered questions and I think of all the things I would like to say to you.
Just to put my arm around your shoulder and to tell you that you are loved more than anybody else.
To share in your tears and your heartbreak.
And now I'm going to tell you this:
There will be hardship in this life.
There will be pain and sorrow and times when things just don't go your way.
There will be people who hate you for no reason.
But the worst of it, there is no one here who can help you.
Do you have a boyfriend?
He says he loves you, but deep down your always scared that one day he's going to throw you away.
Maybe they aren't there. Maybe you don't know them. Maybe they just don't seem to care.
They're human too. They will die and fade away.
Everyone will let you down at one point.
Why am I telling you this?
Why am I showing you something that might just make you hurt more?
Why is the question, isn't it?
We ask ourselves why we are here.
Why we even bother to live.
Why we are who we are.
Who are we really?
Who were we made to be?
Are we just here by chance, or is there a plan for us?
Do we have a meaning?
My answer: Yes.
We all have meaning, whether we acknowledge it or not.
There is a purpose for our lives.
A hope that we will be there tomorrow.
So why can I say these things?
Why do I say that you can have hope?
Why do I tell you that you are loved, but say that everyone you know will let you down?
Ever since I can remember, my mom told me a story.
A story about a Man who had everything, but gave it all up.
He healed others and gave them a reason to hope.
He came to save them.
And then those people He came to save turned around and killed Him without a second thought.
But that wasn't the end of the story.
He was dead, buried in a grave guarded by to soldiers, and after three days, He rose from the dead.
Mind boggling, I know.
What's even more incredible, though, is that there is historical evidence that this story is true.
That this Man lived, breathed, suffered human pain, died a terrible death, and rose from the dead.
Some of you might have heard this story before.
Some of you might believe it with all of your hearts.
Some of you might scoff at the thought.
But I didn't tell you why He died.
He died so that you might be saved.
He so loved the world that He left heaven so that _______________ might believe in Him and have eternal life.
Fill in the blank and know that you are loved.
You are loved by the Creator of the world, who knew who you were going to be before you were born, and loves you even when you mess up.
He created you so that you might know Him and love Him and that He might love you and live with Him forever.
With no more worry, no more shame, no more thought of what troubles tomorrow might bring.
Everything works for good for those who love Him.
He is God.
He is the salvation of the world.
He loves you for who you are and just wants you to love Him back.
Think about this, and ask any questions you might have.
I'm willing to answer.
