Wow, its good to see you're still hanging around Alvera :)
Riley’s PoV ~
After about two seconds the adrenalin vanished, and I realised just how exhausted I was. Sadly, there was no time to rest; we had a job to do and we were on our way to do just that.
The Government Boat usually didn’t need an anchor since it was kept in place by the ring of the island, but luckily Renee had been a council member for ages and knew where the anchor was kept so she had pulled it out and now the boat was docked in the middle of a wide canal. On either side was land but there weren’t many houses or shops so luckily we didn’t cause a great traffic jam. Although, the occasional pedestrian, or in this case, the occasional boat passengers, stared out in awe. But they didn’t seem in any panic, and just moved on casually. I couldn’t believe how clueless these people must be, but then again, I had only found out about this war by luck.
We knew walking would probably be useless, and we were all quite tired, so Renee had also found a small raft and the seven of us, excluding Renee, had jumped on board and were floating to the central area to warn the rest of the Pisces Tribe.
“We’re floating there. We should be there soon.” announced Sapphire.
“Do we have a plan or something?” asked Jade.
“Well . . . we just have to go over there and convince the Pisces Tribe a war is coming. It can’t be too hard, right?” I questioned.
“Renee should’ve been here. People would be most likely to believe a Council Member over us.” pointed out Hannah.
“Well, we have to do the best we can without her.” concluded Alia.
We pulled up the raft onshore and made our way. We were right at the ‘city centre’ of the Zodiac. A large island covered in houses and shops, and luckily, most of the Piscean people.
“So, how do we start?” asked Ivy.
I jumped up on top of a table so everyone could see me and yelled out, “People of Pisces! We are here to warn you about an upcoming war against your tribe!”
Through the corner of my eye, I saw Jade and Hannah facepalm.
“That’s how you want to do this?” asked Sapphire, almost with a laugh. I was about to reply when a group of Pisces people walked up to us with incredulous expressions.
“A war you say?” asked a young man, chuckling.
“Did you hit your head somewhere, son?” asked an old lady with concern.
“What nonsense!” yelled out someone and there were nods of agreement.
Oh no, this would be harder than I thought.
