War was not fun. World War I was awful. World War II was worse. But World War III made them all look like kitty fights. WWIII has lasted for the past century. It began with men and a few women fighting, then everyone but a few babysitters and the children were in battle mode. Then some "genius" came up with the idea to train kids to fight, from birth!
Now, every child is taken and given the best possible care for about five years. They are observed by the leaders, who judge and calculate their interests, abilities, and weaknesses. They then separate the children into groups based on the results from the leaders's observations. After years of training, learning, being judged/tested, and just plain growing up the children, now teens, are selected for certain jobs. Some are sent to war as soldiers, become battle strategists, designers or builders of weapons and/of battle gear, or chosen to compete for a spot on a small team of the best, who infiltrate the enemy's headquarters and a lot of other really cool stuff.
The top student of every class has a chance to be on this team. They are given an injection. It has a different effect on everyone, sometimes it's fatal. Those who survive acquire supernatural abilities and then go through a series of tests/trials to determine if they are up to fighting and follow orders.
Will you be chosen for the injection? If so, will you survive it? If you do will you pass the second series of tests? I you do will you see the end of this war? Many won't. Are you up to the challenge? Then onward to victory!!!!! I hope.

There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul! -Emily Dickinson
