Private messaging is simply not going to happen. This is a website aimed at children. And it is dangerous to allow kids to send private messages, and I don't think that Scholastic wants anything to do with that.

Pictures can also be dangerous. Each one would have to manually reviewed by the admins, and again it's not like you'd be allowed to post pictures of yourself anyway, for safety reasons.

The Agent of the Week thing was abandoned a long time ago, around when Admin Harmonie R. stopped doing it (I presume she left the company). And it hasn't been updated since.

So are there any Mods at all still on the site? If there are, is there anyway we could get them to start up the Agent of the Week again? Also, didn't there used to be an official Agent of the Week thread? Is that still around to view past agents of the week? (Sorry for so many questions, lol). 

The mods don't really come on this site much anymore; they mostly stick to WoF nowadays. The official Agent of the Week thread died at the same time as Harmonie left.

Well this also sucks. So I guess the original forum, the one that started all the rest, has been left to die?

If the Mods don't come on anymore, who moderates our posts then? Like when they go into the "moderation queue", who handles that?

I think posts are probably moderated via a computer filter that searches for red flag words/phrases. :)

The "moderation queue" is an automated process - it just scans the posts and lets it through if it doesn't trip the filters. The mods still look at what gets reported, but not much else.

And yes, it would appear as if this forum has been left to flounder, sink, and die. Unfortunate.
