Mason(the boy I have a fight with later. *Waves flag in the air sarcasticly* Yay.) ends up picking almost all the football team. Grim picks Liv, me, Alicina, and a few boys.
"Go!" We all line up and the coach blows the whistle. People run to get balls first. I stand there. At least three on each team will be kicked out now.
Two on theirs. Three on ours. Now they're actually doing things. A ball comes flying at a boy to my right. I grab it, smile over at him, then throw it . It smacks a boy on the other team right in the stomach.
"Thanks." I look over at the boy. "No problem. I know we'll win. It'll be easier with more people." He's kind of cute. Tall, brown hair, warm hazel eyes. "I duck as a ball almost hits me, pick it up and throw it.
"Sort of cocky aren't ya?"
"Only on Mondays." "Hmm." He smiles down at me. "Charles Constant." "Vienna Fencer."
Our team ends up winning, and Mason glares right at me. Well. My afternoon should be fun.
*time skip to after school.*
I wait in the back of school, where the football field is. I have ten minutes to completely destroy Mason then go t fencing tryouts. Shouldn't be too hard.
"Hey!" I look up. "Ah. Brute boy. Ready to fight?'l"
I take off my school jacket and tie it around my waist. "Come on. Quick. I have tryouts." He smears and walks up quickly, attempting a punch. I dodge easily. Punch to the ribs. He's bigger and slower then me, so as long as I can keep moving and he doesn't hit me I should be-
I get hit in the gut. I can't breath. He shoves me to the ground and looks over at his buddies with a grin. I take the opportunity and kick sort of blindly at his legs. Luckily I hit one knee, and it's enough to knco him down. I stand shakilly and glare at his friends. "I have five minutes to get to tryouts. If you do much as take aa step before I get off this field I will make you miss practice for at least a week." I walk off only to see Charles. "Vienna-" I turn and look behind me, ducking just before the rock hits me. I look at the boy's. "I would fight the rest of you, but it's not worth the effort." "Are you-" I nod at Charles as we walk towards the field house. "Fine. What are you doing here?" "I heard you were getting in a fight and thought I'd help." I smile at him. "It's fine. I rarely need help, if ever. Want to come to fencing with me?" He nods. "Sure."
I take out my sword and look over at the boy from the hall.
The rest of the team mostly seems to be trying not to laugh at the new girl. Me. Whatever. Let them laugh. I'll beat this boy and the other one without too much trouble.
"There are twelve minutes left till Stead gets here! Hurry!"
I get in position and so does the boy. "Are you sure you want to do this?" I can't help but smirk. "Are you?' "3....2....1.... go." Our blades connect. I go for a strike, he blocks. He tries, I block. This will probably be the best match I've ever been in.
And then there's still classroom boy.
"Nin minutes!" "Go Will!!" "Come on!!" "Yeah!" These people seem to like cheering.
"You might want to surrender?" "And miss this dance?" He frowns and strikes. I dodge, only for him to trip me. The rapier's tip pointed at my face. "I believe Alan was next?" I stand and nod. "Yes-" "what are you all doing?" The teacher/coach walks in.
"Fighting a dual."
"Trying out for th fencing team?" He looks down at me, and what looks like recognition flashes in his eyes.
"Vienna Fencer, sir." "Fencer. Welcome to the team."
This school might not be so bad after all.
